The final presentation of the CU-KUL Summer School was held at Chulalongkorn University in the presence of H.E. Ambassador Phillipe Kridelka.

From 24 July till 4 August 2017, the Faculties of Architecture of Chulalongkorn University and KU Leuven organized the first CU-KUL Summer School “(re)-Discovering Nan” as part of their academic cooperation. Under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Koen De Wandeler (KUL) and Asst. Prof. Vorapat Inkarojrit (CU), 7 Master students from KUL, and 10 Master students from CU explored urban form and architecture in Northern Thailand and elaborated a conceptual design for tourism-oriented facilities in the historical center of Nan, Northern Thailand.

They presented their summary findings for feedback from the Nan municipal authorities on 2 August 2017. On 4 August, they presented their overall summer school experience and the fine-tuned design proposals at the Faculty of Architecture of Chulalongkorn University in the presence of H.E. Mr. Philippe Kridelka, Belgian Ambassador to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
